Please note, this year we are unable to provide power outlets for laptops/tablets.
IE: "We'd like to hand out vouchers for a local pub", "A desert company want their logo on our leaflets"
For example "we'll be handing out leaflets and sweets!", "we'll have a game for people to try and win a prize!", "we'll be playing a video and handing out food"
For example: "Hi we're SCOUGI and we'd like to run an outdoor area with a small fire for marshmallows", "Hey, VGS would like to run a VR kit and therefore would like to be on a row end" “Sailing club would like to bring their our boat!”

Code of Conduct
  • A maximum of 3 representatives per stand is permitted.
  • One stand permitted per landlord/letting agency
  • This event is aimed at students, so a friendly, relaxed environment is encouraged.
  • All participants must remain by their stand i.e. no ‘hard selling’.
  • The Housing Bazaar is designated to the STUDENTS’ UNION ONLY and not the surrounding campus.
  • No pestering or flyer distribution is permitted outside of the venue.
  • All landlords/agency must provide a DASH Registration Number and/or scheme. The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 together with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires Letting Agents (and in some cases landlords) to be a member of the redress scheme; and to display this information together with details of any fees payable, in their offices and on their website. We will require these conditions to be met by any agency exhibiting at the bazaar.
  • Giveaways are acceptable, however alcohol-related freebies will be removed.

  • We reserve the right to remove any misleading or offensive advertising that we do not deem appropriate
  • We reserve the right to remove any individuals or organisations that are in breach of the code of conduct.
  • Payment must be made in advance of the event. Full details will be provided on approval.
  • If you are an agent, we strongly recommend that you ensure all your landlords are DASH accredited prior to the event. We will be promoting DASH to students the importance of landlords and agents having the proper accreditation.
